Bare Lymphocyte syndrome (BLS) is a rare genetic disorder that often results in severely reduced expression of the gene encoding the TAP protein.  Please discuss which type of microbe BLS patients would be highly susceptible to and how the adaptive immune system is usually made aware that this type of microbe is present.
